My trip to so cal has been really funny, and odd. Really made me miss my real home (pdx), even if I grew up here.
Gonna write a photoessay when I return up north, but thought I’d share some stuff I’ve been photoing.
One of my riding shirts. Figured I needed all the support I could get since I don’t have a lifted truck or anything.
The roads here are so wide and full of garbage. I’m carrying three tubes and four patches. Debris everywhere, and the roads are super-gnar.
Did see a delorean at the park though.
Bike trails are few and far between. The main one in OC, following the Santa Ana River is pretty bad. It’s covered in glass in some parts and other debris. So cal in general is a lot more ugly than I remember. Everything is dried out and the reservoirs are pretty gross.

I missed Del Taco. God it’s good.
All my friends talk about terribly rainy it is in Portland and how they could never have to be inside that much.
However, everyone down here talks about how hot it is and normally they just watch TV inside all day. Lots of TVs and couchs….and everybody’s asses seem bigger here.
