The NEW Digi Tie-Dye, Ef yea.
DIGI CAMO
Camo sucks. It always has. I like it once in my life. When I was 14. I also smoked more pot that year then most people will in their lives.
Coincidence? I think not.
Digi Camo (Digital Camouflage) was a welcomed replacement of the military issued fashion. It made something that was totally unattractive into something tolerable.
I will probably never wear any digi-camo print, however I’m not going to judge others so harshly. And hell, if I ever encounter a battle in the jungle, I may actually need it.
Point is, it needs an improvement before I would even touch it for everyday use. Which brings us to my next most hated print.
TIE-DYE
Now when most people think of Tie-Dye, images of mud covered hippies gallivanting around in the woods strikes them. Of course, at one time Tie-Dye was actually not so stereotyped. It has it’s roots in
psychedelics, but like most pop culture items it was also widely accepted by people who had never popped a small piece of treated notebook paper on their tongues.
Does this make it okay to wear? No. Please, no.
This print, er, I guess “style” is only thriving in places where public radio is considered edgy. It needs to take a silent walk of shame into the oblivion of ex-fashion….and possibly drag those burkenstocks with it.
SYNTHESIS
If there’s one thing I learned when studying Hegel, it was the power of taking two powerfully abject odds and synthesizing a new, more better alternative. So I took the unfortunate Digi Camo and the shameful Tie Dye to the next level.
DIGI TIE DYE
Is it radical? Yes!
Is it innovative? I believe so.
Is it funky fresh? Most def!
These are just a few samples of my mockups. I’ve spent minimal time on the actual print creations, but I am very pleased so far. I seriously would have never imagined that combining these two styles of print would work so well together.
Enjoy. And don’t steal my shit, or I will stab you.
