The previous sale posting for this bike (51cm Bianchi Pista For Sale) attracted some attention, but other things kept me from responding promptly. I also decided to take a slightly less snarky approach to selling it.
This Bianchi Pista has been around the block, but it’s nowhere near the end of it’s life. It has seen three owners (from what I understand) and has been regularly serviced.
Here’s the “need to knows”:
- 2 dings on TT and one dent. as pictured below. should not affect performance.
- Origin8 cranks 165mm, square-taper BB
- Surly hubs laced to Alex rims. built by great wheelbuilder. flip-flop hub
- No free-bearings, all cartridge I believe. (including BB, Headset, and hubs)
- Drilled fork and chainstay. Currently has mounted brakes and levers.
- Currently has freewheel and cog/lockring setup. So you can ride freewheel or fixed.
- Added large basket for grocery-gettin’. Fit a case of beer, 10lbs of Tofu, or about $20,000 in meth.
Really is a cool bike and perfect around town bike. Christina, my girlfriend, rode it for about 6 months and liked it a lot. She, however, likes her touring bike more.
