This sentiment, and statement, is right up in there with the Top 5 Stupid Things that People Say about Portland. People say it constantly, and it is readily verified by Portlanders all the time. It’s pretty funny though, to think that a resident of southern California would understand what the weather is like anywhere else. I’ve had many friends visit me to say “it’s so much colder here” when I know that a brief search on weather.com will show the temps are basically the same.

Tornado Touches Down in LA

Well, that weather sentiment has officially hit a total fail today. Yea, maybe it drizzles and mists here in Portland for 5-6 months…but we don’t get effing tornadoes or floods that turn our freeways into wading pools. And yes, it is 2 degrees warmer here right now.
